In the first few days

After surgery, you will need to focus all your thoughts and energy on recovery and rest. Kamii-D Medical Center can provide you with the support you need until everything returns to normal. You can be sure that Dr. Zayakova will do her best to meet your needs personally. At the same time, if you have any additional questions, you can contact her. If she is currently engaged leave her names and GSM numbers. She will definitely call you when she is done with her operation, dressing or consultation.
Once plastic or reconstructive plastic surgery is complete, the next step should be a safe and comfortable recovery. We know that making your dreams come true can sometimes be expensive and time-consuming. Remember that for you, this may be the only surgery you have, but here at Kamii-D Medical Center, we go through this with our patients every day, so it is very important to us that you feel comfortable, not only with Dr. Zayakova, but also the whole team. With this in mind, we will do everything we can to make sure you get all the emotional support you need.

Postoperative instructions

The following directions should be followed carefully unless superseded by special procedural instructions. You should follow your surgeon's instructions as indicated for your specific surgery. Tell your doctor about any unusual changes in your condition and don't hesitate to call the medical center with any questions. Upon leaving the "Kamii-D" medical center, you will receive written instructions on the regimen you must follow.

1. You must have someone close to you to drive you home after surgery. It is not permissible to drive alone or use public transport.

2. After the operation, you must have a loved one stay with you for at least 24 hours. You cannot be left alone for the next 24 hours after you leave the medical center. Prepare everything at home before the operation. Hire someone to stay with you, let the person or people know that you should not be left alone.

3. The effect of anesthesia can last for 24 hours. You should exercise extreme caution before engaging in any activity that may be dangerous to you or others.

4. Drink fluids to help your body rid itself of the drugs used during surgery.

5. Eat foods that are light and gentle for the first few days, or foods that are best tolerated after the flu. You may consume more crackers and juice, otherwise you will continue to feel weak and will not heal well. Remember to take the medicine with some food to reduce the risk of stomach pain. Consume salt-free food to prevent additional fluid retention.

6. Please avoid the use of alcoholic beverages during the recovery period (it dilates the blood vessels and can cause unwanted bleeding), with painkillers the combination can be extremely dangerous.

7. Take only medicines that have been prescribed by your doctor, according to the instructions.

8. If you have any itching, rash, wheezing or throat tightness, stop taking all medications and call the office immediately, it may be a sign of a drug allergy.

9. You can expect moderate discomfort, which should be helped by pain relievers. The most discomfort is usually during the first 48 hours. You will then find you need less pain medication.

10. Call us if you have SEVERE PAIN that doesn't respond to pain medication, more swelling, redness around the surgical wound, fever or high fever, or if you have any other questions.

11. Keep your dressings clean and dry. Do not remove them at your discretion. If you are bleeding profusely or the bandages are too tight, call the medical center right away.

12. After the operation, you may have impaired peristalsis. If you cannot have a bowel movement, you may take laxatives to help your bowels move.

13. Minimal activity during the first 48 hours. Without engaging in energy-intensive work. Rest, pamper yourself and let your body heal. Your energy should be focused on your healing.

14. Limit strength loads during the recovery period, or at least the first 10-20 days.

15. The position of the body after surgery is different for different types of surgery.

16. After permission to bathe, you may bathe daily, but not with very hot water. Please do not use the bathtub for 2 weeks.

17. DO NOT SMOKE in the postoperative period. Smoking slows your recovery.

18. In order to drive, it must be at least 10 days after the anesthesia, after you have stopped the pain pills and if you do not feel pain during this activity (you must be able to react quickly).

19. All surgeries involve scars that can be erased over the course of a year. It doesn't matter how small they are, you and I want them to heal as well as possible. Exposing red marks to the sun can cause permanent staining. A good sunscreen (SPF 50) can help and will protect the surrounding tissue. Sunlight reaches scars even under a bathing suit, so take adequate precautions.

20. Avoid sports or intense exertion for 4-6 weeks This is to avoid unnecessary complications (bleeding, bruising, swelling).

21. You can return to work when you feel ready and have permission from your surgeon.

22. Feel free to call us at any time. We want you to regain your fitness as soon as possible.
